Library Services for Online Learners

The Normandale Library gives you access to thousands of full text electronic journals through dozens of reference databases online.  Library support through email and phone is also available.

Off-Campus Access to Article Databases

To access Library resources from off-campus, you will need to login to show that you are a Normandale student. To login you will need a Library Barcode. If you already have a NCC Student ID Card, the library barcode number (202050…) is on the back of the card. If you do not have a student ID Card with a barcode number, send an email to Ask A Librarian, and request one. The barcode number must be activated by the library in order to access databases from off campus. To activate the barcode, call the Library Circulation staff at 952-487-8290. You will also be prompted to enter a password which is your last name. For more information on accessing the Article Databases from off-campus, click here.

When you click on an Article Database, such as Academic Search Premier, you will immediately be brought to a login screen. Enter your barcode and password. You only need to login in once during your session as long as you don’t close all windows of your browser.
